Network Device Registration
All guests of Tufts University should use the `tufts-guest` wireless network, which provides open Internet access. Students and guests requiring a wired connection must register their devices in order to access the Internet via ethernet. If you are staying at Tufts for an extended period of time, we recommend registering your connection.
In order to register your computer on the Tufts network, you need the following information:
- The hardware or MAC address (Media Access Control address) of your network adapter (follow the link to learn how to obtain the MAC address of your computer).
- The purpose of your visit and the name of the Tufts-affiliated individual you are visiting, if applicable
- Your street address, email address, and daytime (cell) phone number.
Once you have the information please click the link below to begin the registration process.
Please note! You cannot extend the Tufts Network in any way with routers, hubs, bridges, switches, or internet connection sharing. Please see our policies page for more information on responsible network use.
